Fashion House and Desire on My Network TV

Fashion House and Desire on My Network TV
As if there weren’t already enough drama on the air, this fall will bring plenty more. My Network TV, the new channel scheduled to launch on September 5, has been advertising a daily double dose of drama, with two brand new telenovelas: Fashion House and Desire. (Telenovelas are Spanish series similar to soap operas, although they do not run indefinitely). The new series will run six nights a week, and promise Melrose Place style relationships mixed with murder and melodrama. The programs will air from 8pm-10pm Eastern/Pacific time, Monday through Friday, with recaps on Saturdays.

Fashion House stars industry vets, Bo Derek and Morgan Fairchild. The show revolves around a corporate takeover in the merciless fashion industry, and the lust, envy, greed, and other deadly sins that go along with it.

Desire takes a page from the book of now defunct, South Beach. Two brothers on the run from the mob land in the safe haven of Los Angeles. Matters become more complicated when the brothers realize they are in love with the same woman.

My Network TV came about due to the creation of CW, the resulting channel from the merger of The WB and UPN. FOX’s TV station group owned several UPN affiliates, leaving room to create a new network. My Network TV will be available in cities such as Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Seattle.
